ERA Portugal turnover up 32% in 1H to €28 million
The estate agency ERA Portugal enjoyed a €28 million turnover in the first half of the year, a like-for-like increase of 32%, achieving its best first half results ever.
March was the best month with a €11 million turnover (+48% on March 2024), achieving the third best monthly turnover.
“The incentives to purchase a property launched by the government in 2024 continue to have a significant impact on the market. This, taken together with the excellent work done by our network, allows me to confidently say that save another national or international calamity, we’ll have a fairly dynamic year not just for us but for the entire sector”, said Rui Torgal, CEO of ERA Portugal.
ERA registered 3,100 transactions in the first half of the year (+14% compared to 2024). This means a total business volume of €566 million (+33.7% on 2024). The average price of residential properties sold stood at €195,000. (+14% compared to the same period in 2024)
The estate agency chain emphasises that a lack of offer continues to be felt across its business with a fall of 10% in available properties on its books compared with 1H 2024. Even so, there was a slight recovery on the last quarter of 2024 (+2%). In other words the number of properties coming onto the market is falling overall.
From January to March this year,, ERA registered 8,800 more properties coming onto the market. For the period ERA beat its absolute record of buying clients by posting around 97,000 new clients.
