Mota-Engil competes to operate new Luanda airport
The Sino-Portuguese construction company Mota-Engil is one of two consortiums to have presented proposals to operate Luanda Airport.
The Ministry of Transports of Angola has selected the two proposals to go forward to the next phase of the competition to operate the new Luana international airport, according to Bloomberg.
The Mota-Engil consortium also integrates the Corporacion America Airports and the Angolan company BestFly.
Its competitor is Chinese and comprises China National Aero-Technology International Engineering Corporation and Yunnan Airport Group.
The competition to operate the new Dr. António Agostinho Neto Airport was announced on 17 November, 2023.
